Privacy Policy

Effective: August 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Mililoop may collect, where it comes from, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights available to you. The exact information we process depends on the features you use, your settings, your permissions, your device, and where you live.
What we collect Location How we use data How we share data Ads & measurement Retention Your rights Young users

1. Scope

This policy applies to Mililoop's mobile applications, mililoop.com, and other Mililoop products and services that link to this policy.

Some features may provide additional notices at the time information is collected—for example, when requesting device permissions, enabling precise location, syncing contacts, making a purchase, or using a feature governed by additional terms.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

Depending on the features you use, you may provide:

  • Account and registration information: name, username, email address, phone number, password or authentication information, birthday or age information, country, state or region, language, interests, profile photo, biography, and account preferences.
  • Profile and public information: profile details, followers and following relationships, creator information, public posts, public comments, and other information you choose to make visible.
  • Content: videos, photos, stories, livestreams, audio, captions, hashtags, comments, reviews, product listings, drafts when a feature is designed to store them, thumbnails, and metadata associated with content.
  • Messages and communications: messages and attachments you send through Mililoop, communications with Support, reports, appeals, feedback, survey responses, and other communications.
  • Interests and preferences: topics selected during onboarding, blocked or restricted accounts, privacy settings, notification settings, saved items, playlists, and content preferences.
  • Identity or eligibility information: information needed for age, identity, creator, seller, payout, safety, or feature eligibility verification when a feature requires it.
  • Transaction information: purchase details, order information, tips, subscriptions, creator earnings, refunds, chargebacks, billing country, transaction identifiers, and related payment status. Payment providers may process card or bank information directly.

2.2 Content metadata and media information

When you create or upload content, we may process technical metadata such as file type, duration, dimensions, orientation, creation/upload time, audio properties, thumbnails, encoding information, and information you intentionally attach to the content, such as a location tag.

If Mililoop later introduces effects, accessibility, safety, augmented-reality, or creator features that analyze face, voice, body, or other sensitive characteristics, we will provide any additional notice or consent required by applicable law before using such data in that manner.

2.3 Your activity on Mililoop

We may collect information about how you use and interact with Mililoop, including:

  • videos or livestreams you view and how long you watch them;
  • scrolling, playback, completion, replay, pause, skip, and viewing patterns;
  • search queries and search results you select;
  • likes, comments, shares, saves, follows, unfollows, profile visits, messages, reports, blocks, and other interactions;
  • topics, creators, products, or content you appear interested in based on your activity;
  • features you use, screens you visit, buttons or controls you interact with, and the dates and times of activity;
  • live participation, creator interactions, shopping activity, and recommendation feedback such as “not interested”; and
  • account creation, login, logout, verification, password-reset, and account-recovery events.

2.4 Device, browser, network, and technical information

We may automatically receive technical information such as:

  • device model, manufacturer, operating system, operating-system version, app version, browser type, language, time zone, and display characteristics;
  • IP address, network type, internet-service provider or carrier information, and connection information;
  • device or app identifiers, installation identifiers, push-notification tokens, session identifiers, and similar identifiers used to operate, secure, measure, or troubleshoot the service;
  • crash logs, performance information, error reports, diagnostics, latency, buffering, and other technical telemetry;
  • security events, failed login attempts, verification attempts, suspicious-session indicators, abuse signals, and device-integrity information where available and permitted; and
  • referring pages, pages visited on mililoop.com, and browser or web-storage information described below.

2.5 Location information

Mililoop may process several types of location information:

  • Location you provide: such as your selected country, state, region, city, a location entered in your profile, or a location you choose to attach to content or a listing.
  • Approximate location: we may infer a general area, country, or region from information such as your IP address, network information, device language, time zone, or SIM/carrier region where available.
  • Precise location: when a feature requires precise location and you grant permission through your device, Mililoop may receive GPS or similarly precise device location. We may use it for features such as nearby discovery, location tagging, local content, marketplace proximity, safety, or other location-based experiences.

You can control device-location permissions in your operating-system settings. Disabling precise location may prevent certain location-based features from working.

2.6 Contacts and social connections

If you choose to enable contact discovery or syncing, and after obtaining the required device permission, Mililoop may access contact information from your address book—such as names, phone numbers, or email addresses—to help you find people you may know or help others find you, depending on the feature and your settings.

We may transform or hash contact identifiers when appropriate for matching. You can stop future access through device or Mililoop settings, and we will provide deletion controls where required.

2.7 Camera, microphone, photos, and other device permissions

When you choose features that need them, Mililoop may request access to your camera, microphone, photo or media library, notifications, contacts, Bluetooth, local network, or location. We access protected device resources only in connection with features that use them and subject to your device permission settings.

2.8 Information from other users

Other users may provide information about you when they mention you, tag you, upload content featuring you, sync contacts containing your information, report content or accounts, send you messages, or otherwise interact with you.

2.9 Information from third parties and service providers

We may receive information from services that support Mililoop or that you use to interact with Mililoop, including:

  • authentication providers and app stores;
  • hosting, storage, content-delivery, livestreaming, video-processing, security, anti-fraud, and infrastructure providers;
  • payment processors, commerce providers, delivery or marketplace partners where applicable;
  • analytics, crash-reporting, customer-support, communications, and moderation providers;
  • business or advertising partners if Mililoop later offers advertising or measurement products; and
  • publicly available sources or lawful safety/fraud intelligence sources where appropriate.

2.10 Cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar web technologies

On mililoop.com and future web services, we may use cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember settings, maintain security, understand website usage, diagnose problems, and, if introduced, provide analytics, advertising, or measurement. Where legally required, we will request consent or provide opt-out choices before using non-essential technologies.

2.11 Inferences

We may infer interests, preferences, likely language, general location, content affinities, safety risk, spam likelihood, or other attributes from the information described in this policy. These inferences can be used for recommendations, personalization, integrity, safety, and feature eligibility, subject to applicable law.

3. How we use information

We may use information to:

  • create, authenticate, recover, and secure accounts;
  • provide videos, stories, livestreams, messages, search, comments, follows, creator tools, commerce, and other product features;
  • personalize feeds, search results, recommendations, suggested creators, suggested products, notifications, and other experiences;
  • understand what content is relevant or engaging and improve ranking systems;
  • provide location-based features after receiving any required permission;
  • detect bots, spam, coordinated manipulation, fake engagement, fraud, account takeovers, payment abuse, malware, policy violations, and other threats;
  • moderate content and accounts using automated systems and human review where appropriate;
  • investigate reports, appeals, safety incidents, and potential violations;
  • process purchases, tips, subscriptions, refunds, payouts, marketplace activity, and related financial records;
  • provide customer support and communicate about your account, security, transactions, policies, or service changes;
  • measure reliability, diagnose crashes or buffering, test features, conduct research, and improve Mililoop;
  • protect our rights, users, employees, systems, and the public;
  • comply with legal obligations and respond to valid legal process; and
  • with appropriate notice and choices, provide or measure advertising if Mililoop introduces advertising.

4. Recommendations and personalization

Mililoop may use your activity, interests, follows, watch behavior, search activity, location at an appropriate level of precision, content metadata, language, device information, and similar signals to decide what videos, creators, live content, products, search results, or notifications may be relevant to you.

We may also use negative signals such as skips, blocks, reports, muted topics, or “not interested” feedback. Recommendation systems may use automated models that identify patterns across users and content.

5. Safety, security, fraud prevention, and moderation

To protect Mililoop and its community, we may combine account, device, network, verification, activity, content, transaction, report, and relationship signals to identify suspicious behavior, abusive networks, bots, account farms, fake engagement, scams, compromised accounts, harmful content, or attempts to evade enforcement.

Where permitted by law, information associated with serious safety incidents may be retained longer than ordinary product data to investigate abuse, prevent repeat violations, resolve disputes, or respond to lawful requests.

6. How we share information

6.1 With other users and the public

Information you make public may be visible to anyone, including people without a Mililoop account. Depending on your settings, other users may also see your profile, content, follower relationships, comments, live activity, or other interactions.

6.2 With service providers

We may provide information to vendors that perform services for Mililoop, such as cloud hosting, databases, authentication, content delivery, video processing, livestream infrastructure, messaging infrastructure, push notifications, security, fraud detection, payments, analytics, moderation, customer support, email, SMS, and error monitoring. Providers may process information only for permitted purposes under their agreements with us.

6.3 With business and commerce partners

If you interact with a seller, merchant, creator, delivery service, payment provider, or other commercial partner through a Mililoop feature, we may share information needed to provide the transaction or requested service.

6.4 For legal, safety, and security reasons

We may preserve, access, or disclose information when we reasonably believe doing so is required by law or valid legal process, or is necessary to detect or prevent fraud, investigate abuse, protect rights or safety, enforce our terms, or respond to emergencies involving a risk of serious harm.

6.5 Corporate transactions

If Mililoop participates in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.

6.6 At your direction

We may share information when you direct us to do so, such as when you share content to another service, authorize an integration, make content public, or use a feature that requires information to be provided to another party.

7. Advertising, tracking, and measurement

Mililoop may introduce advertising, sponsored content, creator promotions, or advertising measurement in the future. If we do, we may use information such as activity, interests, approximate location, device or advertising identifiers, and interactions with ads to provide, limit, personalize, secure, or measure advertising, subject to applicable law and device-platform rules.

Where a platform or law requires permission for tracking across apps or websites owned by other companies, Mililoop will request the applicable permission before engaging in that tracking. If you decline, we will respect that choice as required.

We do not currently state that Mililoop “sells” personal information for money. If our future advertising or partnership practices constitute a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under applicable privacy law, we will update this policy and provide any required opt-out mechanism.

8. Sensitive information

Certain information can be treated as sensitive under privacy laws, including precise geolocation, account credentials, government identifiers, financial information, information about minors, and some biometric, health, racial or ethnic, religious, sexual-orientation, or other protected information.

Mililoop does not ask users to provide sensitive characteristics merely for general profile creation. If a feature requires sensitive information, we will limit its use to appropriate purposes and provide additional notice or consent where required.

9. Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the service, maintain account and transaction records, personalize experiences, preserve security, investigate abuse, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law.

Retention periods depend on the type of information. For example, some session or diagnostic information may be kept for a shorter period, while account, transaction, safety, fraud, dispute, or legal records may be kept longer. Deleted content may remain temporarily in backups or security systems before being removed in the ordinary course.

10. Account deletion

You may request account deletion using available in-app controls or through Support. Account deletion generally initiates removal or de-identification of account information, subject to information we need to retain for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal obligations, transactions, or other permitted purposes.

Information other users independently retain or content that has been lawfully re-shared may not disappear from their copies when you delete your account.

11. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. These may include authentication, access controls, encryption in transit, logging, abuse detection, verification, rate limits, and security monitoring. No service can guarantee absolute security.

12. Children, teenagers, and age-appropriate experiences

Mililoop is not intended for children under 13, and a higher minimum age may apply where required by local law. We may use birthday, age, account, device, and safety information to enforce age-related eligibility and provide age-appropriate experiences.

If we learn that we collected personal information from a child in circumstances prohibited by applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete or restrict that information. A parent or guardian may contact us through Support regarding a child-safety or privacy concern.

13. Your controls, choices, and privacy rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • access or obtain a copy of personal information;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete information or your account;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • receive certain information in a portable format;
  • opt out of certain targeted advertising, sales, or sharing if those practices apply;
  • appeal a decision concerning a privacy request where applicable; and
  • submit a complaint to a privacy or data-protection authority where applicable.

You can also manage many choices through Mililoop settings and device settings, including notification, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, and location permissions.

14. California and other U.S. state privacy rights

Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights regarding categories of personal information collected, sources, purposes, recipients, access, deletion, correction, portability, targeted advertising, sale or sharing, and certain profiling. Where these laws apply to Mililoop, we will provide the required methods for exercising those rights and will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising them.

15. European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and similar jurisdictions

Where laws such as the GDPR apply, Mililoop will process personal data on an appropriate legal basis, which may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, or compliance with legal obligations. Applicable rights may include access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority.

Before launching broadly in these jurisdictions, Mililoop should publish any additional controller identity, lawful-basis, international-transfer, representative, or data-protection-officer information required by applicable law.

16. International processing and transfers

Mililoop may use infrastructure and service providers in countries other than where you live. Where required, we will use appropriate safeguards or legal mechanisms for international transfers.

17. De-identified and aggregated information

We may aggregate or de-identify information so that it is not reasonably linked to an identifiable person and use it for analytics, research, security, service improvement, business planning, and other lawful purposes. Where required by law, we will not attempt to re-identify information that is maintained as de-identified.

18. Automated decision-making

Mililoop may use automated systems to rank content, detect abuse, assess risk, recommend accounts or products, and help moderate the service. Where applicable law gives you rights concerning decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects, we will provide the required information and choices.

19. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Mililoop changes. When changes are material, we will provide notice where required, such as through the app, website, email, or another appropriate method. The effective date above identifies the current version.

20. Contact us
